There is a terrace that overlooks the Bay of Naples, and when the sun sinks slowly into the sea the island of Ischia is silhouetted against a blaze of splendour. It is one of the most lovely sights in the world. I saw an undistinguished back (я увидел ничем не примечательную спину; to distinguish — отличать, различать) and a small head of grey hair, short and rather thin (и небольшую голову с седыми волосами, короткими и довольно жидкими; grey — серый; седой; thin — тонкий; редкий). "I wish he’d turn round (вот бы он обернулся: «я хотел бы, чтобы он обернулся»)," I said. "He will presently (он /обернется/ вскоре)." "Ask him to come and have a drink with us at Morgano’s (попросите его пойти с нами и выпить по стаканчику у «Моргано»; drink— питье; напиток; спиртной напиток)."
