When they got to the place (когда они добрались до места) where they had left the sack of gold and silver (где они оставили мешок с золотом и серебром; to leave— оставлять) they found it had been dug up ready for them (они обнаружили /что/ он был вырыт уже для них: «был вырыт готовым для них»; to dig— рыть; to dig up— вырыть; it had been dug up — он был вырыт), and standing by it was a big blue bird (и, стоя возле него, былв большая синяя птица = а возле него стояла большая синяя птица) with a red beak and red legs (с красным клювом и красными лапками; leg — нога; лапа). They sailed again over the sea and found the rabbit waiting for them. They jumped on the rabbit's back and off they went.
